Wanted! Young people to debate on Citizens’ Agora to fight against the youth unemployment in Europe

The European Parliament’s Citizens’ Agora on Youth Unemployment aims to gather young people from all over Europe to discuss the current challenges in Europe’s employment market.

Two young people from each Member State of the European Union, aged between 18 and 30, will be invited to this conference – one who is employed and one who is unemployed. They will debate with participants from the other Member States, with the assistance of experts on number of specific topics related to the youth unemployment. The recommendations coming out of this Citizens’ Agora will be communicated to European decision makers.

The Citizens’ Agora will take place in Brussels from Wednesday 6 November midday to Friday 8 November 2013 midday.

Criteria for participants

  • You are between 18 and 30 years old
  • You have finished your studies
  • You reside in one of the EU’s 28 Member States
  • You are able to debate in English, French, German or Spanish
  • You have the authorization to travel

Interested participants should fill out the application form before 31 August 2013. The European Parliament can provide participants with an attendance certificate.  Transport and accommodation costs of all participants will be covered by the European Parliament.
